I’m not this crazy advocate of chess however, I am interested in it’s concept as I’m a big fan of strategy. We have to strategize every day of our lives in order to adapt to our environment, circumstances, and challenges. Well if you know anything about the game of chess- you know the strategy revolves around one thing and that is, protecting the king. The king is the most important piece on the board yet, it’s one of the weakest in terms of gameplay. The king lives in the shadows and you must do everything in your power to protect him including, sacrificing your other pieces. Considering this- why is the Queen, who is the strongest piece in the game, expendable? This idea we must only protect one king allows us to view the game and strategize from one single perspective. Imagine how everything would change if instead of protecting one king, our goal was to protect ALL the pawns.
